Children and Families Visit the AMNH with their Teachers
The American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) Education department has a long-standing mission to bring science learning to the community and we have been fortunate to work with them since the 2017-2018 school year. First, the teachers attend sessions at the museum, and you can read about that here.
The second phase brings the children to the education department on special visits with their teachers and families.
The excitement starts with a trip on a bus to the museum, where they are greeted by the education staff. The children explore the classroom activities and some of the parents and family members do, too. Then they visit one of the museum exhibits. This time the 4s went to the butterfly pavilion.
