March 2024: Morningside Heights Library activities calendars have been moved to our Activities pages

October 2023: Do you have Medicaid, Child Health Plus or the Essentials medical plans? Make sure your contact information is up to date as you will be contacted about renewing.

Participants in New York’s Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and the “Essential” plan should update their contact info with their provider because New York State is resuming eligibility reviews and renewals for those enrolled in those programs. This means they might need to take action to renew health insurance. To be sure you receive notice of any reviews or changes, here’s what you can do now to get ready:

  • Sign up for text alerts from NY State of Health by texting START to 1-866-988-0327.
  • Make sure your mailing address is up to date by calling NY State of Health at 1-855-355-5777 (TTY: 1-800-662-1220); by logging into your account at nystateofhealth.ny.gov, or by contacting an enrollment “assistor” if you’re enrolled in Medicaid through New York City’s Human Resources Administration.

When it’s time to renew health insurance, enrollees will receive a letter from NY State of Health or a renewal packet if you enrolled through HRA. Follow the instructions right away!

All kindergarten students are eligible for a free college account from New York City. Visit this link to register.
