Welcome to Eddie and Thanks to Brito and José

A warm welcome to Eddie Joaquin, who has been keeping our classrooms and corridors sparkling. He also handles other matters that come up – he recently escorted a crew repairing ceiling tiles in the classrooms, and he is the go-to person for any physical problems that arise in the building. Eddie comes to us from 20 years in the hospitality industry, which gave him a range of experience. During the pandemic he has been sanitizing classrooms and keeping us in PPE supplies.  Eddie was a Bloomingdale parent so he really understands our classrooms. We are glad to have you, Eddie!

Thank you for many years of service, Rafael Brito and José Suarez! Brito and José were our custodians at 987 Columbus Avenue. They were both truly part of the Bloomingdale family! Brito was a regular at the Bloomingdale reunions, sometimes with his beautiful daughter, Galina. He continues to help us by substituting for Eddie. José, shown in our slideshow with Lucia before her Bloomingdale days, and with his son Jaylen, a Bloomingdale graduate, was also a faithful attendee. You are both fondly remembered.
