Poor air quality in June closed our classrooms for several days, and some classrooms held remote sessions. Our teachers learned a lot about holding successful remote sessions with preschool age children when Covid closed or limited our in-person classes. Fewer children in each session helped make everyone feel seen and heard. They followed classroom routines and created activities that focused on each child. Our recent remote sessions had a big advantage: all of the children know each other in person and were delighted to meet on the screen.
