Our first days of school bring a swirl of emotions: for returning students, happiness at seeing old friends but uncertainty about new teachers and classrooms; for new students, the unease of a new situation, giving way to the fun of new experiences and relationships; and for parents and teachers, getting to know each other and carefully observing the children and their experiences.
