We have an update on Danae Medina! Danae was a Bloomingdale student in 2002-2004 at our Columbus Avenue site. She went to St. Gregory the Great (sadly closed) and St. Vincent Ferrer High School. She is now a graduate with a Master in Science in Nursing from Columbia. Her future plans are to become a Nurse Practitioner, and to give back to the community.
Her Bloomingdale memories include a favorite bike and the slides on the playground, and loving the music sessions with Cindi. Her teachers included Margarita Blanco, Clara Arroyo, Becky Greene and Fidelina Flete. She says, “ I remember all the staff would be so welcoming, caring and heartwarming.”
Congratulations on achieving your nursing degree, Danae! We are proud of you!
Many thanks to Lucy Mejia, who connected us with Danae. Are you an alumni? Please fill out our Alumni Questionnaire:
