Author Robie Harris knows children. She sat with the Extended Day children and took in the late afternoon atmosphere. She encouraged the children to draw their own stories. She and the teachers, including her granddaughter Ella,(who is a Bloomingdale volunteer and supporter), asked the children about their drawings. When the time was right, she read from one of her many books, and her magic came alive! Her expressive voice teamed with her engaging expressions pulled the children into the story. Thank you, Robie, for sharing with the Bloomingdale children!
