Many people and many funding sources come together to provide support for the Bloomingdale Family Program. Government funding provides approximately 80 percent of Bloomingdale’s operating budget. We are grateful to the private foundations, corporate and individual donors who support significant elements of our program, including our Preventive Services, the afterschool Homework Help program, and the continuing education and training of our professional staff. Private funding also enables us to offer a unique Yoga program to our prekindergarten classes, helping our children grow in attention span and self-direction. Increasingly as government funding diminishes, contributions from foundations, corporations, and individuals provide a growing portion of our operating funds.
